We would all love to find our soul mate, that special person, the love of our life, the one who makes our stomach go all gooey if we just hear their voice or see them. But some of us never find them, others find them and mess it up so that the relationship turns sour or ends, others just get very confused.
I sometimes end up speaking to clients who are female, very young, barely out of their nappies when it comes to romantic liaisons, yet they insist they have found their special one. They then go on to say that this special one hits them, takes drugs, steals money, is extremely nasty and difficult with them, and if only they would change they would be so so happy. Your special one is someone who would treat you with love and respect not give you problems and be selfish with you.
But they also forget that if they are only aged about sixteen the odds are that they have not yet found this special one. By the law of averages they could meet them at any time from aged 16 to 86 so it is more likely to be when they are aged about 50 than 16. There are lots of other guys out there they have not met yet who could be that special one and they cannot be sure they would not get on with them better or love them more. Some of these confused people are simply hating being single and in love with the idea of being with someone, others are lacking in confidence and desperate to feel someone cares about them, even if that person treats them badly. Unfortunately if you have a low opinion of yourself and do not respect yourself others pick this up and are the same with you.
